Jannik Sinner tennis shoe concept
Jannik Sinner was just raised #1 in the ATP tour ranking...the right time to design a new shoe for him...closer to the ground, more flexible but still strong and comfortable to support his all-round game and amazing mobility. Design style is kept clean, dynamic, without gimmcks and straight to performance, such as Jannik's style on court. Creative process started from pencil but then moved to AI and then got back to traditional photoediting. More on this in a next post...Let me know what you think of this shoe concept!
Inpiration came from his passion for speed on skis and motorsports, but also his well rounded tennis style and quick footwork.
Design process started from nike zoom zero, his faithful shoe for a few years; I've tried to evolve it making it more flexible, closer to the ground, keeping its strenghts but also infusing some of Jannik's style of play and mood.
After selecting the bast sketch, I've checked proportions and made a super quick vectorial cad just to prepare it for AI work.
Using Newarc AI, around 60 soutions have been developed in a few steps with different prompts to find best results.
