With Nike stocks and prestige facing a constant drop in the last few years, retro products hugely overselling performance products, lifestyle market progressively dismissing basketball styles and Air Jordans losing their benchmark status in performance basketball landscape, Jordan Brand’s future looks uncertain.

As a footwear designer and creative direction consultant, here is my take on the current situation and about some of the ways it could be faced.

I know you were anxiously waiting to see the final Iversonics shoe design but, before that, it’s time to find a proper logo for this project!

It’s finally time to start drawing shoes!

Considering all the previous preliminary work and the researches done to get technical and aesthetic inspirations, it’s time to write down a few guide lines in order to synthetize the informations taken and define the targets and the constraints of this shoe design project.

Everyone knows about Allen Iverson. I’ve witnessed his career, I saw the Amazon Prime documentary and countless videos, I’ve clear in my mind his sneaker legacy…so you would guess I’m pretty much ready to start designing his new shoes.

Unfortunately, this is not how it works for me.
